The 2024 flagbearer of the NDC said the party is working to provide the needed resources for the upcoming elections

The flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has said the party will not leave any stone unturned during the 2024 elections.
Addressing party folks from across seven constituencies in the Savannah Region on Monday 1 January 2024, as part of the New Year celebration, Mahama noted that the party will take the elections as if it is life and death.
“This is not going to be business as usual, we are going to approach this elections as if it’s life and death”, he said.
“We must go after every single vote and when that vote is cast, we must make sure that we defend every single vote, God has opened the way. But we don’t need to sit assume that we have won the elections already.”
Mahama further indicated that Ghanaians are ready for the NDC, adding that the party can also be ready for Ghanaians if only they take their work seriously and make sure that you protect their votes so that the party can win the 2024 general elections.
Touching on resources for the party ahead of the elections, the 2024 flagbearer disclosed that the party is working to provide the needed resources to making get logistics to aid in their campaigns.
Whilst commending regional and constituency executives for their had work for the party, Mahama urged them to support their members of parliament to be able to return their seats and mobilize votes for the party as a whole.
“After we have finished voting, nobody is going to sleep until we have our pink sheets correctly filled and we’ve reported the results to a location that it has to be reported to”, Mahama said.
Former president also called on members of the party to fight hard to be able to take over all the parliamentary seats in the Savannah region where he was born.
“If the money comes take it because it’s taxpayers money, it’s your money. So if the money comes take it, chop it, if they say you should swear, swear, God won’t punish you for taken your own money back”, he said.
Former president Mahama who has set to hit the grounds for a serious campaign ahead of the 2024, is expected to pay a courtesy call on the Paramount chief of Bole traditional area and will also be meeting the Muslim community in his hometown Bole in the course of his stay in the district.
